£500 grants available for community gardens and food growing (Enfield Residents)

We have some very good tidings for all those green thumbs in Enfield! Enfield Council have just announced the launch of twelve £500 grants to community groups wishing to set up a community garden, grow their own food, organise cookery sessions and training sessions for young people, amongst other activities.

If the idea sounds appealing, send the application form included below to ella.goschalk@enfield.gov.uk; bear in mind that proof of your organisation (e.g. constitution, audited accounts, or a reference) may be asked from you.

Should you have an interest in being considered, the deadline to apply expires on Friday 13th February. Your proposal should address the following aspects…

-Benefit to the community and fair distribution across the borough

-Sustainability after initial funding

-Value for money

…As they will be scored from 0 to 5 and will be equally deciding in case there are more applications than grants available. Your organisation will be informed whether it was successful in getting the grant by Friday 20th February.

Best of luck to all potential green thumbs in Enfield!
