The Bat Walk is a chance to walk in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park at night and see several different bat species – common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles, and noctules.
Attendees will learn how they hunt and separate bat facts from bat fiction!
Bat detectors are used so that bat echo-location calls are audible to the human ear. Bats are not the only creatures out at night. Owl calls may add to the atmosphere and perhaps a curious fox will cross our path.
Children over 8 years old are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
The walk starts at the Italian Gardens, in Kensington Gardens at 8.30pm on Friday August 1 and ends at 10pm/.
Book today for just £5 to enjoy this walk and help support the Royal Parks Foundation at the same time!
There are more Bat Walks on August 29 or September 12 if visitors cannot make this one.
