Substrain invites visitors to join a walk of discovery through the byways of West-end London, exploring a number of famous public spaces and learning about the great estates and hidden histories of these great places.
During the casual two-hour walk the group will pass through the graceful and tranquil streets of Mayfair, Soho, St Giles and Bloomsbury, avoiding the bustle of the main roads.
Visitors will find out how these areas came to be, and how some places were rigorously planned and how others grew piecemeal. You’ll be amazed with what you find! The walk will depart from Bond Street Tube Station (WC1 2JS) at 11am on Saturday July 19 and lasts for two hours.
Places on this walk are limited, so please register if you would like to come along or bring anyone with you. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org. Your place and further details will be confirmed via email.
