Our member organisation London Bike Hub specialises itself in providing cycle training and bike maintenance training, as well as a wide range of community activities including running a weekly workshop to train people with learning difficulties bike maintenance skills.
Towards the end of 2014, they were selected by the Ealing Borough to deliver a programme to identify and process abandoned bikes at key locations in the area. The goal is to free up space at public parking areas, reduce street clutter and provide resources they will then use for their training scheme to work on and re-use and recycle. Cycles are resold and profits re-invested to keep the programme sustainable.
If you are a West London-based two wheels lover and wish you could learn a thing or two about how to fix all those brakes, gears, chains and pedals, then clear out your schedule on the first Saturday of the next few months for these bike maintenance workshops:
- Saturday 7th February 2015, 10.00 – 16.00
- Saturday 7th March 2015, 10.00 – 16.00
- Saturday 4th April 2015, 10.00 – 14.00
-Where: Ealing Bike Hub, 18 Queens Avenue, UB6 9BX, Greenford.
