Free 2-day bike maintenance course for Kensington, Chelsea and Haringey residents and an all-women bike workshop during International Women’s Day

Kensington, Chelsea and Haringey two wheels loving residents are in for a special gift! London-based Bikeworks is launching ‘Recycle the way you travel’ a 100% free-of-charge 2-day course where participants get a free refurbished bike lovingly built by the company’s reuse team. Once they become acquainted with their new companion, it’s learning time, with a six-hour beginners bike maintenance session the first day, and a two-hour cycling session the second day, after which they get to cycle home with their new bike!

The locations and dates for this course are as follows:

-21st and 22nd March, at Kensington and Chelsea

-28th and 29th March, at Haringey

So if you happen to live, work or study in the aforementioned boroughs, you do not already own a bike and would love to rediscover the way you travel through this great city, e-mail enquiries@bikeworks.org.uk  for an application form and send it over before Monday 16th February.

 

This course aside, Bikeworks has a special treat coming for you ladies: matching up with the International Women’s Day 8th March, two of their female mechanics will be holding an all-women beginner’s bike maintenance course. The cost is £60 for the full-day course, and will cover everything from puncture repair to gears, brakes and preventative care.

The location and date for this course are as follows:

-8th March, 11.00 am – 5 pm at the Bethnal Green training centre, 138-140 Cambridge Heath Road, E1 5QJ.
