Textile reuse charity TRAID is delivering a free workshop on how to increase textile reuse, save money and reduce CO2. The workshop covers: the social, environmental and economic impacts of textile waste; maximising the diversion of textiles and increasing reuse rates; creating an effective textile reuse and diversion plan; how to ensure tendering works for your borough; how to engage with communities to encourage more donations; and how the Social Value Acts impact on local authorities. The workshop is aimed at: local authority waste, recycling and procurement staff; housing association waste management officers; and local group members who want to increase textile reuse rates. It takes place at: A-Space, 38 Pentonville Road, London N1 9HF on Wednesday March 5 between 10:30am – 3:30pm.
