Groundwork London and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea are inviting local residents to become part of Taskforce 4 Nature, offering opportunities for volunteers to get involved in practical activities to help improve Holland Park’s open spaces for wildlife.
As well as benefiting local wildlife, the project gives people the opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise, and meet like-minded people, through regular active, outdoor practical activity days. The volunteering programme is open to all, regardless of previous experience, and suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.
Work starts at 10:30am on Saturday March 15 and finishes at 3pm. Those interested in the project should meet at Ilchester Place, Holland Park cafe at 10.30am or at the wildlife area at 10.45am. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, bring waterproofs, a drink and a packed lunch.
