Introduction to Sustainable Waste Management

Keep Britain Tidy is to offer a course called an Introduction to Sustainable Waste Management.

The course will consider what waste is and its impact.

It will then look at how to reduce residual waste through recycling, reuse and waste prevention and how the law and society drives this.

It will look at common issues associated with recycling and waste prevention, consider some of the main technologies and issues involved.

The day will conclude with consideration of how to engage stakeholders around waste.
The course aims to introduce participants to key concepts in sustainable wastes management, recycling, reuse and waste prevention.

By the end of the session, participants will have an understanding of
–  What waste is, and its environmental and financial impact.
–  How to reduce residual waste through recycling, reuse and waste prevention and how the law and society drives this.
– Common issues associated with recycling and waste prevention, consider some of the main technologies and issues involved.
– How to engage stakeholders around waste, recycling and waste prevention

The course will last for one day.

The cost is £199 + VAT per delegate.
