The Living Cities Community Fund, founded by Grosvenor, for the benefit of communities in south Westminster, has been launched.
The aim of the fund is to see the lives of people living and working in the south Westminster area improved through community-building activities. Please note, the fund is open to proposals for work taking place in a defined area in South Westminster only.
In 2014, the programme focuses on supporting community cohesion, and supporting young people’s personal development and pathways to employment. Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for the following:
1. Growing Together Grants
To fund projects or regular community gatherings that instill a community ethos and strengthen community cohesion. This may include projects that bring together people of different backgrounds, faiths, cultures, ages or economic circumstance, perhaps uniting people around a common interest or a shared vision for the community.
2. Brighter Futures Grants
To fund projects or regular activities which support young people’s personal development. Within this theme, there is a particular focus on employability, and supporting young people’s pathways to work. Please see the guidelines for full details.
Applicants must have an annual income of less than £1million – taken either in the last financial year (2013/2014) or as an average annual income during the last three financial years.
Application deadline is Friday 30th May at 12 noon
Please note, the fund is open to proposals for work taking place in a defined area in south Westminster only. Please refer to the map in the Fund Guidelines.
