London grey and gloomy? Never!

London, especially at this time of year, can be grey and gloomy. But there are plenty of green corners to brighten up the lives of Londoners, if you know where to look.

The London City Farms and Community Gardens Association has brought out a special film showing London’s flourishing network of city farms and community gardens, highlighting the importance of these precious green spaces to their local communities.

The film shows how the lives of young people can change as they are involved in caring for animals and plants. It shows that engagement with the natural world in the big city of London can be beneficial for everyone and can also be a lot of fun!

The film will be officially launched on Monday 17 February 2014 and was made by Zan Barberton with a lottery grant from Awards for All.
