WRAP’s Love Your Clothes theme packs – Back to School – is now available for download from the WRAP partners site, http://partners.wrap.org.uk/.
This theme focuses on school clothing. As all families know, this can be a major expense for households – particularly for those whose children are starting secondary school in September.
The pack is full of ideas about how to buy smart, look after or pass on school uniforms in ways which will reduce waste and divert textiles from landfill.
The tips in there should help families:
• Get more value-for-money when buying new school clothing and make sure that what they buy will last;
• Get the most out of existing school clothes through laundry care and basic repair skills; and
• Deal with a school uniform that is no longer wanted or worn out.
The pack includes:
o Straplines, messages and calls to action
o Useful facts and tips for consumers
o Suggested editorial & social media content
o How to access Love Your Clothes resources such as logos, photography and supporting imagery
o Contact details should you need more information.
All this content can be used in a way which works for you. It is a “pick and mix” approach which aims to provide ideas, messages and images that you can use in your own communications channels or to support consumer-targeted events, educational programmes, school uniform swishing or second-hand uniform sales.
The previous two theme packs – Unlocking the value of your wardrobe and Spring cleaning – are both still available on the partners site, along with a range of logos and other resources. Please use this information wherever you can to raise the profile of the campaign and encourage consumers to take action.
And don’t hesitate to contact Ali Moore on 020 7960 3677 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like some communications support for your projects or to develop ways in which you can incorporate Love your Clothes messaging, branding or imagery into your work.
