Moths and butterflies is a one day event, led by Tim Freed, a professional lepidopterist, which takes place on Saturday July 5 in Bushy Park.
The day begins at 9.30am and finishes at 4pm. Meet at the Stockyard, Bushy Park, TW12 2EJ.
The morning session will include examining and identifying the previous night’s moth-trap catch from Bushy Park’s woodland and wetland habitats.
In the afternoon attendees will visit these sites to see butterflies, day-flying moths and caterpillar food-plants.
Indoor work will include looking at field guides and survey equipment.

Tim Freed has recorded more than 550 species in Bushy Park in recent years.
