Best Before Project

The aim of the Best Before Project is to reduce food waste by collecting food that is past its ‘best before’ date from food suppliers and re-distributing it to local charities.

'Best before' dates are a major contributor to food waste and in turn, the unbalanced nature of global food distribution, as well as being a massive factor in greenhouse gas emissions.

Currently we have storage space in Tottenham and are partnered with several churches and community groups.

BRAG is a non-political community waste action group, made up of local Brentford residents. The formation of BRAG was facilitated by Hounslow Council's Recycling Team in 1999.

British Heart Foundation

They have a growing number of Furniture and Electrical (F&E) stores across London, which sell a wide range of donated furniture and brand new items from sofas and bedroom furniture to fridges, washing machines and televisions. By recycling and donating your good quality, unwanted furniture or electrical items to F&E stores, you can help save the environment and help save lives. The Charity supports those with illness in a variety of forms and makes on average around 75 free collections from donors per store per week using a network of self employed van drivers.

Bromley Field Studies Centre

The Bromley Field Studies Centre aims to promote environmental awareness giving everyone the opportunity to improve their quality of life. We work with pre-school children up to A-level offering curriculum based environmental led fieldwork. We also work with the long-term unemployed offering employment led training in environmental conservation and soon we will be offering courses in painting and decorating.
