Selby Trust

The Selby Trust is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The trust has a philosophy to increase capacity and sustainability of historically excluded groups in diverse communities and to promote and support, directly and through networking, a range of opportunities to enable all communities a chance to acheive economic, social and cultural growth. Sew Amazing Ltd

We believe in cutting constant renewal of sewing machines by providing spare parts for older machines via our recycling program. As for our own company, this year we have increased our own recycling of cardboard and packing materials by around 30 percent by returning cartons to importers for reuse and reusing airlite/jiffy bags for sending out parts. We are currently trying to get as much data down on used parts for a better service and using digital pictures to help I.D. parts instead of using part numbers. Our objective is to keep as many existing machines going as we can.

Scrapp is a valuable community enterprise that outlines environmental issues in relation to raw materials. It combines environmental change with the need for sustainable low cost creative arts and crafts. Helping disaffected youth and low income groups develop their creativity and gain an understanding of recycling.
