A Norfolk hotel has saved more than £16,000 by reducing food and packaging waste with help from WRAP.
Strattons Hotel, in Swaffham, achieved a recycling rate of 98%. In the past 12 months it has saved £16,000 by reducing its waste.
The 10-bedroom boutique hotel which has an award-winning restaurant has been working closely with WRAP to optimise its recycling processes and now recycles a majority of its waste stream.
“There is a surprising amount of government help out there for small businesses and it’s well worth asking about,” said director Vanessa Scott. “WRAP helped my business to reduce waste and recycle more, making better use of resources and helping to tackle climate change while improving our bottom line.”
