Old Tidemill Weekly Wildlife Gym and Community Cooking with Grow Wild

Improve your fitness, enjoy spending time outside and make new friends.

Sessions are free and no experience is needed.

Activities will be suitable for all abilities and will range from sowing and transplanting plants, general garden maintenance, creating wildlife areas and garden features like woven fences.

We provide tools and refreshments and free shared lunch at 1pm. Lunch will be prepared during the outside cooking session from 11:30 – 2pm, which will run alongside the gardening.

Wildlife Gym is organised and run by Assembly SE8 on the site of the Old Tidemill School Wildlife Garden.

‘Freshly Picked, Freshly Prepared’ – Community Cooking Outside with Grow Wild alongside Old Tidemill Wildlife Gym

Grow Wild and Assembly are teaming up to run community cooking session alongside the new weekly gardening sessions. Cook up fresh, healthy and affordable dishes, with produce grown in the garden. Lunch cooked in the session will be shared. Bring an apron if you have one.

The garden is located on the site of the Old Tidemill School, behind the school on Reginald Road, just off Deptford High Street, SE8 4RN. Closest train stations are: Deptford Overground, Deptford Bridge, New Cross Station. Or by Bus, 177, 47, 53, 453.

The session starts at 10am and runs until 2pm.
