The London Green Cycling Club is attempting a 500k Charity Challenge over two stages of last year’s Tour de France route and ending as part of the Prudential 100 Ride London Event. The Group are appealing urgently for a relief Driver. The individual must be over 30 years old, possess a full clean driving licence with D1 category permission to drive a minibus.
Wednesday 29th July: 10.00am – 2 minibuses and 1 Luton van departing from Lewisham to pick up 22 cyclists on pre-planned route to York
Thursday 30th July: York / Hebden Bridge / Halifax
Friday 31st July: Hebden Bridge/ Sheffield
Saturday 1st August: Cambridge / London (drive minibus back to Lewisham).
During the day drivers will patrol the chosen routes to offer assistance and in the morning and afternoon they will ferry riders and kit from start / finish points to hotels.
All travel and room costs are covered. If any individual or organisation can provide support for this event the Club is prepared to pay £300 to either the individual or organisation. Hopefully someone has some spare time to offer support and help the team raise £40,000 for green charities.
