Come join us on Saturday 29th September 2018 for a free open roundtable discussion on reducing waste on post-consumer fashion. By shifting attitudes from throwaway fashion to ‘made to treasure’ up-cycled couture, we hope to both inspire and enable the local community to reconsider how they might reduce waste with their fashion habits. This first event, funded by the North London Waste Authority, is the first of the two-part ‘Festival of Sustainable Fashion’ taking place in North London this Autumn.
As part of our commitment to reducing throwaway fashion, after the roundtable discussion, there will be a free clothes swap. We highly encourage all attendees to bring three pieces of clean, unwanted clothing for this part of the event. However, there is no need to bring to take.
Where: The Old Fire Station Community Centre, 61 Leswin Road, London N16 7NX
When: Saturday 29 September 2018. Doors open at 11.30am for registration, handing over your unwanted clean clothing to staff members for the Clothes Swish (please bring at least 3 items of clothing) and to network with other attendees before the day’s event kicks off at 12noon till 4pm.
