The Urban Outdoor Festival in Camden

UrbanAll local residents and visitors are welcome to The Urban Outdoor Festival in Camden Town.

Vivienne Westwood’s Climate Revolution has partnered with Camden Council, Thames 21, Farm the City, EJF and Clean Air Quality to organise The Urban Outdoor Festival in Camden Town.

The event opens at Castlehaven Park with the Clean Air Bike Ride, led by Vivienne Westwood, around Camden showing cycle routes that have low pollution levels.

The event will be held at Castlehaven Community Space (NW1 8RU) and Baynes Street Nature Reserve. There will be lots of activities for all ages, including the Farm in City gardening tent, the Thames 21 canal treasure hunt, pond dipping, and more.

The fun and games will have a serious note as well.

The over-arching theme of the day is to recognise and address air quality and sustainability within the borough of Camden.

Guest speakers will talk about using green transport, growing your own food or protecting natural spaces, The Urban Outdoor Festival will demonstrate simple things we can all do to improve air quality (and quality of life) locally and citywide.

Summer is here and it’s time to celebrate the outdoor urban landscape! Everyone is invited. So come down on your bicycle and join Vivienne Westwood to make a statement about sustaining London – and enjoy the the community spirit in Camden Town!

Festivities kick off at 11am on Saturday July 5 and finish at 4pm. Additional bike parking will be available on the day.
